Mike Henderson
Owner/Winemaker
Born and raised in Southern California, Mike brings the art of wine to Southeast Iowa. A former professional baseball player, Mike has been a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones for 30 years and spent the past five years researching vineyards and wineries throughout the United States and in Italy to bring the best possible wine experience to Southeast Iowa. Mike has received his Wine Making and Vineyard Management certificates from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids.

Kalen Henderson
Owner/Assistant to the Winemaker
Kalen is a native of Southeast Iowa and owner of our partner business - StudioK. She is a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College with a degree in communications, as well as a Master of Photography and a Master of Electronic Imaging. Kalen's expertise at Airport Road Vineyard involves whatever needs to be done next.

Mallory Becerril
Chief Operating Officer/Director of Events & All Things Very Important
A graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and Iowa State University, Mallory was a member of the Iowa State University Track and Field team, and is always out on some sort of adventure when not handling all of the duties at Airport Road Vineyard. Mallory & her husband, Raul are parents to Kikè, born in March of 2019 and also are both trainers at CrossFit Teo, a partner business to Airport Road.

Pleasant High School and Iowa State University, Mallory was a member of the Iowa State University Track and Field team, and is always out on some sort of adventure when not handling all of the duties at Airport Road Vineyard. Oaklee
Director of Security/Head of Complaint Department
One of the common denominators among all wineries worldwide is the winery dog, and we believe we have the very best. Born and raised in Southeast Iowa, Oaklee patrols the eight acres of Airport Road Vineyard and, while she looks fierce, she's actually a marshmallow and has a weakness for french fries. (Oaklee is currently semi-retired so if you are wanting to meet here, she is available by appointment only.)

David Rogers
Facilities Manager/Assistant Winemaker
A native of Pennsylvania, Dave comes to ARV via marriage and the Walt Disney Company. Married to Mike & Kalen Henderson's oldest daughter, Whitney, and father to son, William, Dave met his blushing bride while they were both employed at DisneyWorld in Orlando, FL. Dave managed the Ft. Wilderness Campground and held other managerial positions before heading to Iowa to work at the vineyard. Currently enrolled in Vineyard Management and Winemaking courses he handles all tastings and wholesale sales for us as well as our tastings and anything vineyard or wine related.
